- Ignition off.
Check the control module and vehicle speed sensor (VSS) connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Check the wiring between control module terminal #57 (#A57) and vehicle speed sensor (VSS) connector terminal #1. Check the wiring between control module terminal #39 (#A39) and vehicle speed sensor (VSS) connector terminal #2. Check for an intermittent open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults. Check for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults. Check for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Remedy as necessary.
