Signal Too Low






Signal too low. Permanent fault

Checking voltage level
Read of the voltage level in the control modules.

Note! None of the motors should be operating when reading off.

The levels between the central electronic module (CEM) and the power seat module (PSM) should not deviate by more than a maximum of one volt. A small difference as a result of contact resistance is acceptable.

No - Checking supply

Checking supply
Check passenger compartment fuse 4 (11C/4:2)
Check the cable between the power seat module (PSM) connector #A1 and passenger compartment fuse 4 (11C/4:2) for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
If the fuse has blown fault-trace for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check the connector.
Check passenger compartment fuse 24 (11C/24:2)
Check the cable between power seat module (PSM) supply relay (2/29) #3 and passenger compartment fuse 24 (11C/24:2) for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault or open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check that the relay is not is defective.
Check cable between power seat module (PSM) connector #B1 and power seat module (PSM) supply relay (2/29) #1 for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault or open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Remedy as necessary.
