Checking the wiring and component
Hint: The antenna cable is connected to the GPS antenna via a connector in the right-hand A-post.
- Ignition off.
Check the antenna cable between the carphone module connector G (gray) and connector E (terminal 1) in the right-hand A post. Check for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Try replacing the antenna if no fault is found in the antenna cable.
Remedy as necessary.
Other information:
- The GPS antenna has an internal resistance of approximately 60 ohms
- The resistance of the antenna cable between the carphone module and the connector in the right A-post, when measured using an ohmmeter, must be infinite between the signal cable and the shield or body ground

Hint: After the repair it is necessary to check that the fault has been rectified.
- Ignition off.
- Connect connector, install components etc.
- Ignition on.
- Turn on the phone.
- Wait approximately 20 seconds.
Click on the VCT 2000 symbol to read the diagnostic trouble codes.
Check that the status of the current diagnostic trouble code has changed from permanent to intermittent fault.
