Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) PHM-0020 is stored if the carphone module registers that there is a short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal to the handset microphone.

Substitute value
- Only hands-free operates.

Possible source
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the wiring (MIC signal) between the handset and the control module.

Fault symptom[s]
- The carphone handset is not functioning
- Message in the text display (for carphones with Volvo On Call).
