Signal Missing. Intermittent Fault
Signal missing. Intermittent fault
Checking contact resistance, oxidation and wiring
Hint: The hands-free microphone is connected to the phone module (PHM) via a connector in the right-hand A-post.
- Ignition off.
Check the hands-free microphone and phone module (PHM) connectors. Check for loose connections. See Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Check the cable between phone module (PHM) connector terminal A1 (terminal #1) and hands-free microphone connector H1. Check for an open-circuit. See Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Check the cable between phone module (PHM) connector terminal A11 (terminal #11) and hands-free microphone connector H2. Check for an open-circuit. See Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Try replacing the hands-free microphone if no fault is found in the wiring.
Remedy as necessary.
