Signal Too High. Permanent Fault
Signal too high. Permanent fault
Checking cable
Hint: The fault could also have been caused by the windshield wipers sticking.
Check the cable between the central electronic module (CEM) and the windshield wiper motor (6/1). Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. Check for an open-circuit.
Take readings between:
Central electronic module (CEM) terminal #16B and windshield wiper motor (6/1) terminal #3.
Check the cable between the central electronic module (CEM) and the rain sensor (7/149). Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. Check for an open-circuit.
Take readings between:
Central electronic module (CEM) terminal #16B and rain sensor (7/149) terminal #4.
Also check the connectors.
If no other faults are found try a new windshield wiper motor (6/1).
Remedy as necessary.
