Replacing the component
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) indicates that the switch is defective.

Hint: After the repair it is necessary to check that the fault has been rectified.








- Ignition off.
- Connect the connectors, install the components, etc.
- Ignition on.
Read switch signal.
Turn the switch to all positions.

Hint: The light switch sends the status of contacts to the central electronic module (CEM). For an invalid combination at the light switch, "Not permitted" is shown on the read-out.





Does the switch work in all positions?

Yes - VERIFIED

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
