Checking the wiring and sensor
Check the connections of the control unit and the pre-pressure valve for contact resistance and oxidation, as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Check the wiring between pre-pressure valve connection:
- #3 and control unit #1 (#A1)
- #4 and control unit #17 (#A17)
for an intermittent open circuit as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults , an intermittent short circuit to ground as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults , and an intermittent short circuit to voltage supply as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Do the necessary corrective action.
