Checking the wiring and sensor
Check the control unit and side acceleration sensor 1 for contact resistance and oxidation, as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Check the wiring between side acceleration sensor 1:
- #1 and control unit #40 (#A40)
- #2 and control unit #9 (#A9)
- #3 and control unit #25 (#A25)
for an intermittent open circuit as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults , an intermittent short circuit to ground as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults , and an intermittent short circuit to voltage supply as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Do the necessary corrective action.
