Checking the stop lamp switch
- Ignition off
- Disconnect the stop lamp switch connector.
Check the function of the stop lamp switch by connecting an ohmmeter between terminals #2 and #4 on the stop lamp switch and activating it at the same time.
Stop lamp switch, resistance:
- Activated: 1520-1680 ohms
- Not activated: 0 ohms.
Remedy as necessary.

- Ignition off
- The connector for the stop lamp switch is disconnected.
Check the cable between:
1. stop lamp switch terminal #2 ABS control module terminal #A14 (#A14)
2. stop lamp switch terminal #2 and connection point 53/329
3. connection point 53/329 and ground terminal 31/93.
check for an open-circuit, a short-circuit to ground and a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Remedy as necessary.

- Disconnect the connector for the ABS control module
- Disconnect the stop lamp switch connector.
Check the control module and brake pressure sensor connectors. Check for contact resistance and oxidation.
