Condition




The stop lamp switch supplies the ABS control module with data during braking and disengages any TRACS control. The control module terminal is grounded via the stop lamp bulbs when the stop lamp switch is not activated. The control module and stop lamps are supplied with battery voltage supply when the stop lamp switch is activated.
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ABS-0064 is stored and the function for TRACS is disabled if the control module registers that the signal from the stop lamp switch is incorrect.

Substitute value
- The TRACS function is blocked.

Possible source
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connectors
- Open-circuit in the cable
- Short-circuit to ground or supply voltage in the wiring
- Defective stop lamp switch.

Fault symptom[s]
- No TRACS function.
