Checking the wiring and connections
Check the connectors of the control unit and the relevant wheel sensor for intermittent contact resistance and oxidation, as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Check the wires between relevant wheel sensor connector:

Diagnostic trouble code ABS-0030 Rear LH wheel sensor
#1 and control unit #6

Diagnostic trouble code ABS-0040 Rear RH wheel sensor
#1 and control unit #22
for an intermittent open circuit as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults , for an intermittent short circuit to ground as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults , and for an intermittent short circuit to voltage supply as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Check the wires between relevant wheel sensor connector:

Diagnostic trouble code ABS-0030 Rear LH wheel sensor
#2 and control unit #5

Diagnostic trouble code ABS-0040 Rear RH wheel sensor
