Checking passenger compartment ventilation filter

Hint: A blocked, dirty or wet passenger compartment ventilation filter can cause misting on the windshield or result in bad odor from the climate control system.

- Remove the soundproofing panel. See Air cleaner passenger compartment, replacing Service and Repair.
Check whether the climate control unit is equipped with a passenger compartment ventilation filter. If a passenger compartment ventilation filter is installed, check that the filter is correctly installed, is intact, clean and dry.
Remedy as necessary.
