Replacing the component

Hint: The RTI control module contains a number of settings that the users can program in themselves. If possible, these settings should be read off and noted down before the RTI control module is replaced. This is so that the same settings can be programmed into the new road traffic information (RTI) control module.

Replace the RTI control module because an internal fault has been found.

Caution! A new RTI control module is delivered without software. The control module must be programmed in order to function after replacement.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on
- Activate the System test to test the memory of the RTI control module. See System Test System Test.
Check if the RTI control module memory is OK or not. OK is displayed if the memory functions.

Hint: Tell the customer that it may take 15 minutes of driving before the system is calibrated and functioning satisfactorily.
