If the central electronic module (CEM) registers that communication with the steering angle sensor (SAS) does not work, diagnostic trouble code CEM-1A5E will be set.

- No voltage to the SAS control unit.
- Contact resistance in the connectors.
- Defective SAS control unit.
- Problem with the CAN bus.

Condition
- Servo unit control does not work.
