DTC ABS-00B1 Pedal Pressure Sensor

Condition

Note: This diagnostic trouble code applies only to ABS systems equipped with DSTC.





The pedal pressure sensor is located inside the brake booster and sends the ABS control unit a signal if the AYC function has to be disconnected. When the AYC is active and the driver depresses the brake pedal at the same time, the pedal pressure sensor sends a signal if the AYC function has to be disconnected. If the control unit registers a faulty signal from the pedal pressure sensor, diagnostic trouble code ABS-00B1 is set.

Substitute value
- Anti-spin function blocked.
- Stabilizing function blocked.

Possible source
- Contact resistance or oxidation in connectors or connections.
- Open circuit in wiring.
- The wiring is short-circuited to ground or voltage supply.
- Defective pedal pressure sensor.
- Defective control unit.

Fault symptom[s]
- Stabilizing function not working.
- Anti-spin function not working.
- Anti-spin warning lamp is on.
