To proceed with the replacement, identify whether the car is constructed for On-Board Refueling Vapor Recovery or an Electrically controlled evaporation system.

Fuel / ignition systems constructed for Onboard Refueling Vapor Recovery (ORVR) can be identified using the VINCODE.

If the 8th position in the VINCODE is 8 or 9, the fuel / ignition system is constructed for ORVR.

HINT: The VINCODE decal can be found in three locations in the car:

- on the lower edge of windshield on the driver's side, visible from the outside
- in the engine compartment, above the battery
- on the driver's door well, under the lock.

Select the method
- If the car is constructed for ORVR: Fuel tank, replacing
- If the car is constructed for electronic EVAP: Fuel tank, replacing.
