Anti-roll bar rear, replacing

Special tools:
951 2050 BEVEL PROTRACTOR 951 2050 Bevel Protractor

Raise the car






Remove the left-hand rubber mounting for the muffler
Hang up the muffler using a tie strap so that the muffler is as high as possible.

Remove the outer nut (1) on the transverse arm mounting. Remove the screw






Mark up the position of the right-hand transverse arm mounting in relation to the hole (2) in the left-hand trailing arm
Make a punch mark in the mounting at the edge of the hole.
Remove the other screw from the mounting.

Note! It is very important that markings are correctly made. If not the rear wheel toe-in will be incorrect.

Remove:




- the mounting screws for the anti-roll bar
- the anti-roll bar.

Installation

Note! To ensure that there is no exhaust leakage, see: Flanged joint, assembling Service and Repair.

Install the new anti-roll bar
1. Install the screws using new nuts 2.3. Use a new screw and nut
Do not tighten the screws yet.

Install the transverse arm mounting on the trailing arm. Use new screws and nuts




Install the inner screw (1) and the nut. Adjust the mounting using the markings (2) made earlier. Tighten the nut so that the position is fixed. Install the screw (3) and the nut.
Tighten the nuts. Tighten to 50 Nm . Angle tighten to 120° .
Use bevel protractor 951 2050 BEVEL PROTRACTOR 951 2050 Bevel Protractor.

Tighten the mounting screws for the anti-roll bar




1. Tighten to 50 Nm
2. Tighten to 50 Nm . Angle-tighten to 90°
3. Tighten to 65 Nm . Angle-tighten to 90° .
Use bevel protractor 951 2050 BEVEL PROTRACTOR 951 2050 Bevel Protractor.

Cut off the tie strap holding the muffler






Reinstall the rubber mounting
