Replacing Components
Replacing The Throttle Body (Electronic Throttle Module)
Preparation
- Remove the air intake between the front cover plate and the air cleaner (ACL) housing.
- Remove the battery negative lead.
- Disconnect the connectors from the pressure and temperature sensors on the charge air pipe to the throttle body (TB).
- Release the hose clamps on the charge air pipe.
- Remove the charge air pipe.
Removing The Throttle Body (TB)
- Remove the support bracket for the starter motor.
- Disconnect the throttle body (TB) connector.
- Remove the mounting screws from the throttle body (TB). Lift up the throttle body (TB). Clean the mating surfaces thoroughly.
Installing The Throttle Body (TB)
- Install the bracket for the starter motor.
- Install a new throttle body (TB) with a new gasket. Tighten to 17 Nm.
- Connect the throttle body (TB) connector.
- Clamp the cable in the bracket for the starter motor. Use a tie strap.
- Install the charge air pipe.
- Connect the connectors for the pressure and temperature sensors.
- Install the intake manifold between the front cover plate and the air cleaner (ACL) housing.
- Install the battery negative lead.

Order software for C70.
Programming The Control Module
Program the new control module for the C70.
Finishing
- Check that no diagnostic trouble codes have been stored during the repair.
- Test drive the car. Check the function of the engine.
