Replacing Printed Circuit Board
Preparations
NOTE: Read off programmed data from the printed circuit board before replacing the printed circuit board. This is carried out via VADIS communication. The current data must be entered into the new printed circuit board after replacement.
Removing printed circuit board
- the heat sink.
- the tachometer, temperature gauge, fuel gauge and speedometer.
- the screws for the printed circuit board
- the printed circuit board, note the catches.
Ordering software
NOTE: The software must be ordered before the printed circuit board is installed. Order the software.
Programming the printed circuit board
- Program the new printed circuit board.
- The customer parameters must be programmed into the new printed circuit board. Finally, check that no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) were stored during replacement. Programming the printed circuit board and reading off diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) can be found under VADIS vehicle communication.
