Convertible Top Latch Position Switch / Sensor: Service and Repair

Replacing the spring and/or micro-switch, A-post

NOTE: Before starting work, see Preparations before work.

Removing the spring and/or microswitch, A-post







- Set the convertible top to the position illustrated.







- the upper panel for the windshield member
- A-panel
- the screws for the lock housing
- the lock housing.

NOTE: Mark the position of the lock mounting before removing it.

- Remove the micro-switch (carefully press it outwards).
- Tap out the pin.
- Replace the spring, rocker and micro-switch.

Installing the spring and/or micro-switch, A-post
- Install in reverse order.
- Test the function of the lock in the A-post.
