Preparations





Remove:
- the battery negative lead.
- the seat from the car according to Lifting the power seat in and out Lifting the Power Seat In and Out.
- the backrest upholstery according to Backrest upholstery Backrest Upholstery.
- the protective pad.
- The J molding (tie strap) from the padding.

Removing the cable




Press in the catch securing the cable in the tilt mechanism.





Caution! Check the routing of the cable in the backrest before removing it. This is so that it can be installed in the same way.




Disconnect the cable from the tilt mechanism.
Unhook the cable ends from seat. Replace the cable.

Install:
In reverse order.

Removing the spring for the tilt mechanism




Unhook the spring. Replace the spring.

Install:
In reverse order.
