Replacing Seat Rails/Mounting Stays
Rail stop bracket
Remove:
- the seat from the car.
- the rail stop bracket (unhook the springs).
Mounting stays and seat rails
Remove:
- the mounting stay by drilling out the 4 rivets.
- the two mounting nuts for the seat rail in the seat frame.
CAUTION: If installing a new mounting stay, follow the instructions to ensure that the seat base is not crooked.
Install:
- Rivet the mounting stay into place on the seat.
- Position the seat in the car.
- Ensure that the base is straight and secure in the catches on both sides.
- Tighten the two nuts on the mounting stay under the seat when the seat is in place in the car.
Gas damper
Remove:
- turn the lower mounting for the rear height adjustment so that the gas damper can be removed.
- the seat rail from the seat frame.
Install:
- In reverse order.
