Backrest Cable

Preparations

Remove:







- the battery negative lead.
- the seat from the car.
- the backrest upholstery.
- the protective pad.
- The J molding (tie strap) from the padding.

Removing the cable







- Press in the catch securing the cable in the tilt mechanism.

CAUTION: Check the routing of the cable in the backrest before removing it. This is so that it can be installed in the same way.










- Disconnect the cable from the tilt mechanism.
- Unhook the cable ends from seat. Replace the cable.

Install:
- In reverse order.

Removing the spring for the tilt mechanism







- Unhook the spring. Replace the spring.

Install:
- In reverse order.
