Replacing the front section of the convertible top unit

NOTE: Before starting work, see Preparations before work.

Removing the front section of the convertible top unit







- Set the convertible top to the position illustrated.
- Ignition off.
- Make a note of the antitheft radio code.
- Disconnect the battery negative lead.
- the front latch arm
- the cable harness between the motor for the front lock and the front roof arch
- the micro-switch for the front latch arm
- the motor for the front lock
- the drive wire for the front lock.







- the security strap on the front cross member (A)
- the cable harness on the security strap with the Velcro strip.







- the end mounting for the security strap
- the snap rings for the pin on the front roof arch on both the right and left-hand sides
- the snap rings for the pin on the front and rear side members on both the right and left-hand sides.
- Tap out the pins.
- Lift off the front section of the convertible top unit.
- Replace the front section of the convertible top unit.

Installing the front section of the convertible top unit
- Assemble in reverse order.
