Cleaning the Convertible Top

Preparations







- If the convertible top is heavily soiled with road dirt and debris, rinse the convertible top and allow to dry.

NOTE: Do not clean the convertible top in direct sunlight.

- Never clean just stains or particular areas of the convertible top. Always wash the whole convertible top surface.







- Never use any type of brush.







- Spray an area of the convertible top with stain remover. The surface to be washed must not be allowed to dry before washing is complete.







- Pour or spray the stain remover onto a sponge. Squeeze the sponge to distribute the stain remover.







- Work the dirt out using light circular motions. Thoroughly dab the stains. let the sponge absorb the stain. Do not rub.







- When the whole convertible top has been washed, rinse thoroughly using water.

NOTE: If any stains remain, repeat the cleaning procedures until the stain has gone.







- Allow the convertible top to dry. The convertible top must be completely dry before the next step is carried out.

Applying the impregnator
- Treat the convertible top using impregnator.

NOTE: The convertible top must clean and completely dry when applying the impregnator.







- Pour the impregnator into a container. Dip the white sponge into the impregnator. Apply the liquid evenly over the whole convertible top.







- Wipe up any excess impregnator after application using a rag. Use a lint free rag.
- Allow the convertible top to dry for one hour before using.
