Checking the deadlocking function
Activating deadlocking function
- Ignition on.
Activate to lock the doors in the deadlock position.
All doors should be deadlocked.
OK - No Fault Found
Not OK - Checking the connectors

Checking the connectors
- Check the VGLA control module connector for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
- Ignition on.
Activate to lock the doors in the deadlock position.
Check that all doors are deadlocked.
If the function is correct, the cause of the fault was loose connections in the connectors.
Are all the doors deadlocked?
Yes - FAULT FOUND
No - Checking cables

- Ignition off.
- Remove the door panel from the relevant door.
Check the circuit for the relevant door as follows:
For the left front and rear doors: check the cable between VGLA control module #A2 and the relevant gray lock unit connector terminal 4 for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault. For the right front and rear doors: check the cable between VGLA control module #A15 and the relevant gray lock unit connector terminal 1 for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault. Also check the gray lock unit connector for the relevant door for oxidation and contact resistance according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Remedy as necessary. Select "Continue".

Hint: After verification it is important to check that the fault is corrected as follows:
- Ignition off.
- Reconnect connectors, reinstall components.
- Ignition on.
Activate to lock the doors in the deadlock position.
All the doors should be deadlocked.
