Activating the lock motor




- Ignition on.
Activate fuel tank filler cover central locking motor.
The fuel tank filler cover should open.





Is the function OK?

Yes - No Fault Found

No - Checking the connectors

- Expose fuel tank filler cover central locking motor according to Replacing fuel tank filler cover motor or door switches Service and Repair.
- Check VGLA control module connector and fuel tank filler cover central locking motor connector for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
- Ignition on.
Activate the fuel tank filler cover central locking motor.
The fuel tank filler cover should open.
If the fuel tank filler cover opens the cause of the fault was loose connections in the connectors.





Is the function OK?

Yes - Fault has been remedied

No - Checking cables

Check the cable between VGLA control module #B12 and fuel tank filler cover central locking motor terminal 1 and the cable between fuel tank filler cover central locking motor terminal 2 and ground for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.









Were any faults found in the cables?

Yes - Verification

No - Replacing component

Replace the fuel tank filler cover central locking motor according to Replacing fuel tank filler cover motor or door switches Service and Repair.

Select "Continue" when this has been done.

- Reconnect connectors, reinstall components.
- Ignition on.
