Checking oil grade and oil level in transmission
Caution! Transmission oil grade and level are extremely important for transmission function. Therefore it is imperative that these are correct. However, oil level is dependent on oil temperature.
- Ignition on.
- Read off oil temperature.
Check both oil level and grade.
Other information:
- Check the oil level.
- Check the oil grade.
Remedy as necessary.

- Test drive the car according to Test Drive Form, description Test Drive Form, Description.
- Check for any clearly audible noises from the transmission. Check for malfunctions.
Is transmission function OK ?
Yes - No Fault Found
No - Replacing the transmission

Earlier tests indicate that there is a fault in the transmission.
Replace the transmission according to Removing the transmission Transmission, Removal.

Test drive the vehicle following: Test drive schedule, description Test Drive Form, Description
During the test drive, oil temperature should be over 20 °C.
Note any deviations in transmission function.
