Incorrect transmission ratio

Checking the gear position sensor adjustment




- Ignition on.
- Read off the selector lever position.
Move the gear selector to a different position and check that the gear position is updated.

Hint: If the display shows an undefined position, such as O2, the gear position sensor is maladjusted.

Remedy as needed.

Is the gear-shift position sensor incorrectly adjusted?

Yes - Verification

No - Checking contact resistance and oxidation

Checking noise from the transmission
- Test drive the car as per Test Drive Form, description Test Drive Form, Description.
- Check if the transmission produces any obvious noise or has functional faults.





Is the transmission making a noise?

Yes - Replacing the transmission

No - FAULT FOUND

- Ignition off.
Check the control module's connector and transmission connectors A and B for contact resistance and oxidation as per Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault

Replacing the transmission

Note! In the event of internal faults during the first year on the market, transmission AW55-50SN should be replaced.

- Ignition off
- Reconnect the connectors, components, etc.
- Ignition on
Test drive the vehicle following: Test drive schedule, description Test Drive Form, Description
During the test drive, oil temperature should be over 20 °C.
Note any deviations in transmission function.

Does the transmission function flawlessly?

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
