Checking the signal from the control switch




- Ignition on.
Read off status of the central locking switch.
The value should be HIGH.





Is the value HIGH?

Yes - Verification

No - Checking the central locking switch

- Ignition off.
Remove the central locking switch from the passenger door.
Disconnect the central locking switch.
Read off the status of the central locking switch.
The value should be HIGH.

Is the value HIGH?

Yes - Replacing components

No - Checking cables

Replacing components
Replace the central locking switch for the passenger door according to Door panel switch, replacement Removal and Replacement.

Continue - Verification

Checking cables
Check the wiring between control module #A6 and passenger door central locking switch #C3 for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check the wiring between control module #A4 and passenger door central locking switch #C5 for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check the wiring between control module #A16 and passenger door central locking switch #C6 for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off.
- Reinstall connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Read off the control switch status.
The value should be HIGH





Is the value HIGH?

Yes - VERIFIED

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
