Checking connectors and wiring




- Ignition off
- Check control module connector A. Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Connect an ohmmeter between control module terminal #A17 and ground.
Test for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Remedy as necessary.

- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on
- Convertible top in the closed position
- Activate the air conditioning (A/C) system (ECC)
- Read off the status of the air conditioning (A/C) system signal.
The status should be active in the raised position





Is air conditioning (A/C) system functioning?

Yes - Verification, continued

No - VERIFICATION FAILED

- Operate the convertible top to the open position
- Read off the status of the air conditioning (A/C) system signal.
The status must be inactive in the open position

Yes - VERIFIED

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
