Checking the signal from the trunk lid door switch
Checking the cable
- Check control module connector A. Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault. Check for contact resistance and oxidation Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault
- Ignition off
- Disconnect control module connector A.
Connect an ohmmeter between control module A12 and ground.
The trunk lid must be open when taking the reading.
Test for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Activate the switch by pressing in the striker plate with a screwdriver.
Connect an ohmmeter between control module A12 and ground.
Test for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
If no fault is found, check that the door switch is functioning correctly.
Remedy as necessary.

Note! After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.
- Reinstall components, reconnect connectors etc.
- Speed < 4 km/h
- Ignition on.
The trunk lid must be open.
Activate the control switch for convertible top operation.
It should not be possible to operate the convertible top.
Close the trunk lid.
The lamp for the trunk lid must not be lit.
Activate the control switch for convertible top operation.
It should be possible to operate the convertible top.
Does the convertible top function correctly?
Yes - VERIFIED
No - VERIFICATION FAILED
