Replacing the front section of the convertible top unit

Replacing the front section of the convertible top unit

Removing the front section of the convertible top unit




Set the convertible top to the position illustrated.
Ignition off.
Make a note of the anti-theft radio code.
Disconnect the battery negative lead.

Remove:
- the front latch arm
- the cable harness between the motor for the front lock and the front roof arch
- the micro-switch for the front latch arm
- the motor for the front lock
- the drive wire for the front lock.





Remove:
- the security strap on the front cross member (A)
- the cable harness on the security strap with the Velcro strip.





Remove:
- the end mounting for the security strap
- the snap rings for the pin on the front roof arch on both the right and left-hand sides
- the snap rings for the pin on the front and rear side members on both the right and left-hand sides.
Tap out the pins.
Lift off the front section of the convertible top unit.
Replace the front section of the convertible top unit.

Installing the front section of the convertible top unit
Assemble in reverse order.
