A. SERVICE CAMPAIGN 103 DESCRIPTION
Volvo Cars of North America, Inc. and Volvo Cars of Canada Ltd. are committed to ongoing product improvements. In keeping with this commitment, a new lug wrench with increased durability has been made available for model year 2001 560 and model year 2000-2001 (Partly) V70 and V70XC and S80 models. This new lug wrench will replace the adapter piece. Current owners will he mailed a new lug wrench under separate cover.
It is important that this new lug wrench also be placed in the qualifying vehicles currently in retailer's inventory. This action should be performed during PDS2-Final Mechanical, when all tire pressures (including the spare tire) are checked for the correct pressure and when battery cutoff switch is removed. The replaced adapter piece should be recycled according to your local recycling laws.
Volvo will be mailing a replacement lug wrench to the owners of these affected vehicles. This mailing began during the week of April 9, 2001.
B. VEHICLES INVOLVED
NOTE:
RETAILER MUST CONFIRM VEHICLE ELIGIBILITY PRIOR TO BEGINNING REPAIR FOR THIS CAMPAIGN.

C. RETAILER VEHICLE CAMPAIGN LIST
A "Retailer Vehicle Campaign List" will be sent separately identifying nonretailed vehicles eligible for this campaign. This list details all nonretailed vehicles that are on record as being currently in stock at your facility.
D. PARTS INFORMATION
PARTS RETURN
Return of the campaign parts is not required. Please dispose according to local recycling laws.
E. OWNER NOTIFICATION
Volvo will mail a replacement lug wrench to the owners of the affected vehicles. This mailing began during the week of April 9, 2001. A copy of this letter is shown.
F. NEW VEHICLES IN RETAILER INVENTORY
All new vehicles in retailer's inventory and qualifying for this Service Campaign must be repaired prior to a customer taking possession of the vehicle.
G. RETAILER RESPONSIBILITY
In some instances, the customer may request the retailer to check the installation or install this replacement lug wrench. If this request is made, it is to be made as a courtesy to the customer. The campaign work covered under Service Campaign 103 is free of charge to the owner.
H. CAMPAIGN REIMBURSEMENT PROCEDURES
All claims should be submitted using the short form application.
