Checking The Connector For The SRS Control Module







- Ignition off.
- Disconnect the battery negative lead.
- Expose and disconnect the connector from the SRS control module.


CAUTION
Avoid touching the control module terminal pins. There is a risk of static discharge which may damage the control module.



- Check the cable terminals in the female connector and the SRS control module connector terminals.


NOTE: The cable terminals must not be damaged or pressed back.


- Install and disconnect the SRS control module connector. Check that the connector locks into the control module.
- The female and male connector halves are OK.
- The male terminal on the control module connector is defective.
- The female terminal on the connector is defective.
