REPLACING MECHANISM

Replacing mechanism 1

Remove (entire mechanism):
- Sun roof. Service and Repair
- Sun visor. Service and Repair
- Wind deflector. Service and Repair
- Cables. Replacing Cables. Service and Repair






- Gutter. 2 screws on each side

Press mechanism out and pull forwards

Note: Never pull the mechanism straight up.

The mechanism is mounted in a guide at the rear.

Install (entire mechanism):
Install in reverse order.
Check all seals before installing as follows:






- Weatherstrip(1)
- Sealing tape for screw holes (2) between the guide rail and sun roof base plate.
- Apply new sealant to the rear of the guide rail (3) before installing it in the sun roof base plate. Service and Repair
- Lead-in for cable sleeve (4).

Note: If the guide rail has been removed it should be sealed using sealant PIN 686 275-9.
