Console: Service and Repair


AFC1. Ignition Off and Disconnect the Negative Lead from the Battery:





Make a note of any radio code.

AFC2. Removal of Panels and Cover:





Remove:
- The seat cushion, refer to Seats
- 2 screws at the rear edge of the tunnel compartment.
- The coin compartment.
- 2 switches and accompanying connectors from the rear electric lifts.
- the handbrake panel.
- the cover from the storage compartment.
- the storage compartment together with 2 switches and accompanying connectors for electrically heated seats from the front of the tunnel compartment.

AFC3. Removal of Screws and Connectors:





Remove:
- 2 screws below the cover in the storage compartment.
- 3 connectors.
- Lift the tunnel compartment up at the rear edge and pull it backwards.

AFC4. Removal of Arm-Rest on the Tunnel Compartment:





Remove:
- 4 screws from the lower section.
- 2 screws from the lock.

AFC5. Removal of Rear Panel:





Remove:
- the connector from the loudspeaker switch..
- the connector from the 12 volt socket.
- 6 nuts from the side.
- 3 screws from below.

AFC6. Installation of the Rear Panel:





- When installing a new tunnel replacing it with a new tunnel compartment 6 holes must be drilled in the new tunnel compartment for the rear panel.
- Cut out the related piece of the old tunnel compartment and use it as a template for drilling the 6 holes in the new tunnel compartment.

AFC7. Removal of Storage Compartment:





Remove:
- 4 screws on the storage compartment.
- the cover using a flat screwdriver.
- the connector from the storage compartment.

AFC8. Removal of the Tunnel Compartment Cover:





Remove 5 screws from the lower edge.

AFC9. Assembly and Installation:
Assemble and install in the reverse order.
