Checking Solenoid SLT

Checking Solenoid SLT

NOTE: The transmission must not be colder than room temperature when activated.

- Ignition on
- Activate solenoid SLT.

Check that the solenoid "clicks" on activation and that the current changes from approximately 0 to 1 A. Use a stethoscope to hear the sound more clearly.

If no "click" is heard, this indicates that there is a mechanical fault.

Was there a click from the solenoid?

YES: Continue with Next Procedure. Refer to Test driving. Test Driving
NO: Refer to Replacing The Transmission Control System.
