Checking Solenoid SLT







NOTE: The transmission must not be colder than room temperature when activated.

- Ignition on
- Activate solenoid SLT.

Check that the solenoid "clicks" on activation. Use a stethoscope to hear the sound more clearly.

If no "click" is heard, this indicates that there is a mechanical fault.

Was solenoid SLT OK?

YES: Refer to Trouble Code Descriptions. Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions
NO: Continue with Next Procedure. Refer to Replacing The Transmission Control System.
