Checking The Wiring And Component
- Ignition off.
- Open the gearbox control system.
Check the connector. Check for damage and pressed in pins.
Check the wiring between transmission connector terminal #D3 and solenoid SLT terminal #1.
Check the wiring between transmission connector terminal #D4 and solenoid SLT terminal #2.
Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. Also check against the other cables in the circuit. Use the relevant wiring diagram.
Check the solenoid SLT by measuring the resistance between terminals #1 and #2. The resistance must be 5 - 5.6 Ohms at 20 degree C. Replace the transmission control system if the resistance is incorrect.
Other information:
- Signal description. Transmission control module (TCM)
- Connectors, transmission, disconnecting/connecting.
- Solenoid control system, replacing.
- To replace the cable harness for the control system: Wiring harness/oil temperature sensor, replacing.
- Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent faults.
