Checking Cables and Sensors
Checking Cables And Sensors
- Ignition off.
Check wiring between control module #A57 and #A39 and vehicle speed sensor (VSS) connector #1 and #2 for a short-circuit to each other.
Check power supply cable between control module #A57 and vehicle speed sensor (VSS) connector #1 for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent faults.
Check signal cable between control module #A39 and vehicle speed sensor (VSS) connector #2 for an open-circuit or a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent faults.
HINT: With control module connected, ignition on and a voltmeter connected between transmission connectors #1 and #2 (control module side), the voltage should be approximately 8-12 V.
Remedy as necessary.
