Checking Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor







- Ignition off.
- Remedy control module and transmission connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent faults.
- Reconnect control module and transmission connector.
- Ignition on
- Read off oil temperature.

Check that the temperature is reasonable.

Compare with the transmission temperature.

If the transmission temperature seems reasonable the cause of the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was contact resistance or oxidation in the control module or transmission connector.

Was the transmission temperature reasonable?

YES: Refer to Trouble Code Descriptions. Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions
