- Ignition off.

Check seat-belt buckle connector #1 and #2 for a short circuit to ground, as described in Checking wiring and terminals - Permanent faults.

Connect an ohmmeter between #1 and #2 on the seat-belt buckle and check that the resistance is approximately 20 M (when the seat-belt buckle is open.

Do the necessary corrective action.
