Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Condition
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-233 or SRS-243 is stored if the resistance in the wiring circuit is too low for more than 3 seconds.

Possible source
- Short-circuit to ground in the connectors or in the signal cable between the driver's or passenger seat belt tensioner and the control module.
- Short-circuit to ground in the driver's or passenger seat belt tensioner (resistance too low in the igniter).

Condition
- The SRS indicator lamp lights


WARNING
There is a risk that the seat belt tensioner will not function if this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored.
