Signal Too High - Intermittent Fault




Checking The Components And Wires







- Disconnect driver airbag connectors.
- Ignition on.

Connect an oscilloscope between driver airbag #1 and #2 and check for an intermittent short circuit to voltage supply, as described in Checking wiring and terminals - Intermittent faults.

The oscilloscope should now show a spiked pulse with a period time of approximately 500 ms.

Also test between ground and airbag #2, the oscilloscope should not show any reading.

If there are faults in the wires, the cable harness must be replaced. No repairs should be carried out on the cable harness.

Do the necessary corrective action.


NOTE: After the test, diagnostic trouble code SRS-212 is set. Ignore this code, which is set as a result of the test.
