- Make a note of any radio code.
- Ignition off.
- Disconnect the battery negative lead.
- Disconnect SRS control unit and the B connector on combination instrument.
- Connect the battery negative lead.
- Ignition on.

Check the B connector on the control unit and combined instrument for a short circuit to voltage supply, as described in Checking wiring and terminals - Permanent faults.
