- Ignition off.
- Disconnect the black 14-pin connector C and the 3-pin connector on the potentiometer.
- Check the yellow/red signal lead in the black 14-pin connector, terminal C:10, and the two other yellow/red signal leads, C:9 and C:11, for a short-circuit to each other.

Yes - Verification

No - Replacing Component
