Checking Cables




Checking Cables

- Expose VGLA Control module.
- Disconnect siren.
- Disconnect siren connector.
- Ignition on.

Check fuse 29.

Check the cable between #4 on the 15-I rail in the relay box and siren connector #1 for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals - Permanent faults and a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals - Permanent faults. Check siren and control module connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals - Permanent faults.

Other information:
- The voltage between siren connector #1 and ground should be battery voltage when the ignition is on.

Remedy as necessary.

Was a fault detected?

Yes - Erasing Diagnostics Trouble Codes (DTCs) - II

No - Replacing Component
