DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) INFORMATION

Condition
Control units communicate with each other over a network via a standardised serial method of communication - CAN (Controller Area Network) - to exchange information. If the engine control module registers that there is no CAN communication, the trouble code ECM-E000 will be set.

Condition
- CAN communication absent
- cruise control turned off
- fuel shut-off according to accelerator pedal position
- closing of the electronic throttle during braking.

Possible source
- contact resistance in the connections
- open circuit in one or both signal wires
- one or both signal wires short circuited to ground, to voltage supply, or to each other
- defective engine control module.

Condition
- ETS warning lamp on
- cruise control not working at all
- engine jerks during acceleration
- engine is jerking heavily after engine braking
- uneven idling.
